How often do oil boilers need servicing

Oil is a messy substance and this means oil boilers require regular maintenance to keep them working correctly. To ensure your boiler works safely and efficiently, we advise that you have your oil boilers serviced at least every 12 months by an OFTEC registered engineer.

What is done during an oil boiler servicing?

During and oil boiler service our OFTEC registered engineers will check the safety of the oil tank, check the safety of the boiler, check the combustion process is safe and effeicienct, change the nozzle to ensure correct injection and no blockages, check for soot on your oil boiler’s electrodes or photocells, clean the trap and fill out your annual boiler service certificate.

How much does a boiler repair cost?

We charge £80+vat to cover the first hours labour. In around 30% of case we can fix the boiler in the first hour. If parts are required we will need to order these and further time will be required for the installation of parts. Boiler parts can be expensive so when parts are required the total cost can vary from £150 to £500+ all depending on the parts that are required and the time needed to install.
